Getting in touch with the China Speakers Bureau has never been a real problem. We try to answer email queries typically within 24 hours, even when it might take a bit longer to come with a first offer. But Google started to offer on site video calls, making it possible to get in touch with us directly through their hangout technology. And we decided to join this experiment.
By clicking on one of the green buttons at our website, you should be able to call us directly. We still call this an experiment, but first tests look good. When you click on the button, a new screen opens and you will have the possibility to make a direct call. That is, when that we are online, and able to receive your call. Otherwise we call back as soon as it is possible. When the experiment works out, we will try to be 24/7 available.
You can include in this video call one or more of your colleagues, up to a maximum of 9. When you are based in China, you might need a VPN to get to this service, but that is the same for all decent internet services outside China.
If you are a first time user, you might have to download a small piece of software; it is Google-stuff and you only need to do it once. It makes sense to check the first time whether your webcam and microphone are installed, but otherwise it is not different from an ordinary conference call.
We are interested in trying out this experiment, and hope you will enjoy this too.
